Lizumo

Frequently asked questions

What's the highest score?

21, a 2 and a 1, called Mia (Tokyo on Lizumo). Then come doubles, then all other scores from 65 down to 31.

Why is 5 and 3 worth 53 and not 8?

Because the higher die is the tens and the lower die the units. The score isn't the sum of the dice.

Does a double beat 65?

Yes. Any double, even double 1, beats every score that isn't a double.

Can I call less than I rolled?

Yes, you can call any score, even lower than your real one, as long as it beats the score called before you.

What happens if I call 21?

The next player can accept and lose one life, or lift the cup: if it really is 21 they lose two lives, otherwise you lose one.

How many players?

Two or more. The game is at its best with three to six.

How many lives does each player have?

It depends on the table: the classic version gives 6, quick games 3. On Lizumo everyone has 3.

Are Mia, Mäxchen and Tokyo the same game?

Yes, they're different names for the same game, with small rule differences from place to place.

Is Lizumo free? Do I need an account?

It's free and needs no account. You play in the browser on your phone or computer.

Can I play online with friends?

Yes, with One phone each mode: whoever creates the room shows a QR code or sends a link, and the others join by typing just a name. 2 to 8 players, no accounts. The server rolls the dice and everyone sees only their own. Create a room.

How is Lizumo funded?

Lizumo is free, with no ads and no accounts. If you like it you can buy me a coffee on Ko-fi: it's a voluntary tip and doesn't unlock anything in the game.

Is it played for real money?

No real money on Lizumo: no bets, no prizes. Just for fun.
